We are doing more and more to look after ourselves these days, physically, mentally, emotionally and perhaps spiritually...

Sometimes, we may just need some touch therapy.
After all the running around we do for others, families, at work etc. We forget that we need someone to look after us, we can't be superhuman all the time ;)
Complementary therapy can provide "touch therapy" in many forms with massage and reflexology being (in my opinion) the most popular.
The latter is what I am most passionate about. I love the reactions received when offering reflexology to people. Knowing that the treatment given is "holistic" which simply means treating the whole person and not just any symptoms presented.
Reflexology is such a calming therapy that it "speaks" to the body and assists with the relaxation process. Once the body responds to this communication and relaxes, the healing process can begin.
Now this process will differ from person to person but overall when the body and mind are calmer we begin to feel clearer headed, sleep better, relax and enjoy life a little more. Our whole body is positively affected as a result.
As a reflexologist, I use a reflexology mapping system to begin this two-way communication with a person's body. By stimulating and applying pressure to certain reflex points along the map either on the feet or hands, everything within the body's systems responds into a healing action.
So when you reach a point where you feel you need "something" to give you a boost then please consider reflexology and I always recommend doing it sooner rather than later. It's much better and quicker to fill up a glass which is only half full, rather than filling an empty one from scratch (when energy is fully depleted).
